How to unlock an iPhone 3GS that has been reset to factory settings?

My friend gave me her old iPhone 3GS. I reset it to the factory settings and was planning on taking it in to Tmobile to have it hooked up. My problem is i can't get in to any settings or anything now since it was restored. The only thing on the screen is the unlock slider and once you do that it just says emergency call and the little i symbol with the IMEI number. Can I unlock it from here somehow so I can use it?

I'm not a big techy but i believe if you plug it into your computer on itunes there's a way to unlock it

When you restore an iphone it locks it. You need an at&t sim card to activate it. I had the same problem. What you need to do is get a at&t sim card from someone and just put it in the phone it won't activate or charge you.
If you can't do that the you have the option to hacktivate.

It is not a big problem. Once you restore an iPhone it automatically relocks. You need to unlock it again. You can unlock your iPhone through remote unlocking method. You can get the remote unlocking for an iPhone 3GS from www.unlocking4u.com at affordable cost with easy unlocking guide.
Here are the steps for unlocking an iPhone 3GS,
