How to unlock an iphone 4 thats out of contract?

I have an iphone 4 that the contract will be over this month and was going to give it my niece, can i unlock it so its on pay as you go? And how do i do it?

You can use some trusted service or software that are available on net.

Phones are locked to network not contract or pay as you go. If your phone is locked just make sure you use the same network p&g sim as your contract was. Alternately take it to a shop or contact apple to unlock it. Your contract provider may also be able to help

You can unlock your iPhone 4 using remote unlocking service. Get the service from http://www.simpleunlocking.com/apple-iphone-4/rs16wp9/ here they ask you to provide your country, network provider in which your mobile is locked and IMEI number of your mobile.

I have all my phones unlocked with them samsungimeiunlock.com. They offer any codes although officially are unlocking Samsung. I would suggest first contacting AT&T because if the contract is over they could unlock it for free and is no use to pay SamsungimeiUnlock anything.http://www.pcworld.com/article/253517/atandt_starts_unlocking_iphones_customers_gripe_over_long_delays.html

Well in the US, AT&T does this for out of contract iPhones. Should enquire from your carrier if they will do the same. If not there are people who do this for a fee.

"LongPathTool" File Governor is an advanced program which allows for files and folders within the system to be unlocked so that normal file I/O operations can be completed when normally they would not be able to be due to operating system restrictions for files currently in use. Once a file or folder is unlocked you will be able to force-close the file's handle, rename, delete etc.

"LongPathTool" File Governor can help to solve errors like:
• Can't delete folder: It is being used by another person or program
• Can't delete file: Access is denied
• The file is in use by another program or user

You can use "LongPathTool" File Governor to easily force the deletion of a file or rename files.

As long as you have once activated your iPhone on AT&T (which I would assume you have) you can use several unlock services online like iphoneunlockedcheap.com. If you are the original owner of the iPhone you may be able to get it for free directly from AT&T.

I've been unlocking Iphones for some time now. If you have AT&T, I only charge $15.00. Check me out here:

Yes you can use this phone with Pay as you go.
