How to unlock an iPhone 4s without jailbreaking it?
I jusdt completely restored my iPhone, but it still will not accept my T-Mobile sim card. This iPhone was given to me by my brother, who lives in Oregon. Their network is AT&T. I don't know how to jailbreak it (for free), and I can't make calls on it.
YOu need a factory unlock. Factory unlock must be performed by a professional, since no software/jailbreak can unlock your iphone. Email me at stefan.zxcvb@live.com for info
Hi, You can unlock your iPhone 4S safer and easier using remote unlocking service. This remote unlocking service doesn't require a jailbreak. You can get the remote unlocking service for an iPhone 4S from http://www.simpleunlocking.com/apple-iphone-4s/rs16wp9/ at low cost. You can also visit http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/apple-iphone-4s This site provides free unlocking instructions. This could help you understand remote unlocking process better.
You need to have it unlocked at http://attiphoneunlocker.com/
Once you receive your email to confirm that your handset is unlocked, for the iPhone simply connect it to iTunes which will complete the unlock.
Once your Unlock has been processed just follow these simple steps:
Connect to itunes with a non accepted sim (for example a tmobile sim) and do a back up and restore. Your phone can now be used with any gsm network.
1) Open iTunes on your Mac or PC (verify you have internet connectivity).
2) Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB data cable.
3) Backup and Restore your iPhone using iTunes.

4) Once your iPhone is restored it will have the Factory Unlock in place!

- Will Jailbreaking my iPhone 3GS ruin my unlock? I have an AT&T iPhone 3GS on 6.1.3 (I know there's no jailbreak for it yet, but I know an untethered is being made) and I have it unlocked to be used with T-Mobile. If a untethered jailbreak comes out for 6.1.3, will my unlock be ruined and not let me use my T-Mobile services? ps. I have it unlocked, not jailbroken, so I don't have cydia
- Will jailbreaking iPhone unlock it? I have a black sprint iPhone 4S, and I have t-mobile. IPhone 4S's come with a sim card holder and tray too, but I have to go to sprint directly to unlock it for a high fee. I heard if I jailbreak it, it gets unlocked and I can use t-mobile with it! Is this true? Will jailbreak unlock an iPhone 4s to use any carrier, and if so how do I do it?!
- Will jailbreaking an iphone also unlock it? I have bought an iphone 4 from japan and i'm from the philippines. I tried inserting smart/globe sim card and it says invalid sim. so do i need to unlock it before jailbreaking? or will jailbreaking also unlock its sim capability?
