How to unlock an iphone when you forget the passcode?
I lost my iphone 4 a while ago, and I just recently found it while cleaning up my house for renovations. I charged it and it turns on and everything amazingly! But I have no idea what my passcode is! I looked up a couple ways to reset it all together, but none are working. It says I have to connect it to the computer I originally synced it too, but I got rid of that computer a while ago as well… So now I'm at a blank. I have pressed the lock and home button and connected to itunes but it won't work because its not the original computer. If anyone knows how I can get into this phone (it doesn't matter if it factory resets) please let me know!
Plugging it into iTunes is the only way. Or you could go to the apple store and they could do it for you
Apple's official instructions to restore an iPhone are:
1. Connect iPhone to your computer.
2.In iTunes, select iPhone in the Devices list, then click Summary at the top of the screen.
3. Click "Check for Update." iTunes tells you if there's a newer version of the iPhone software available.
4. Click Restore. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process. When restoring, it is recommended that you back up iPhone when prompted. When the iPhone software has been restored, you can either set it up as a new iPhone, or restore your music, videos, app data, and other content from a backup.
Please also note that Apple representatives can't unlock an iPhone for you without restoring the iPhone, which will erase everything on it.

You have to run recovery or DFU mode which will restore the phone as new with All content erased.
