How to unlock iPhone 4 from Rogers to Telus? (CANADA)?
I have this un-used iPhone 4 on Rogers that I want to unlock to Telus. How can I do it? Could you please give me detailed steps on how to do so?
First of all: Good news, Rogers and Telus are fully compatible so unlocking won't be a problem and all features of your iPhone will work on Telus without restrictions.
Now, to get your iPhone properly factory unlocked from Rogers, the cheapest and safest way is to check one of the big known vendors like http://www.cellfservices.com/ as there are quite a bunch of rotten apples on the market.
Once they notify you that your iPhone is unlocked (you don't have to do anything yourself!), just activate it with the latest version of iTunes and you're done.
- Will an unlocked iPhone 5 from AT&T work in Canada on Rogers? If I buy an iPhone in the states from AT&T can it be unlocked and used in Canada on Rogers? Does it matter which country it gets unlocked in?
- Where should I get iPhone 6s? Rogers? Bell? Telus? Apple? I've been researching their deals online but they are so similar. I'm currently with Rogers and my contract has ended already, so if all deals are similar, I should just stay with Rogers, right? Another way I'm thinking is buy it in full from Apple then choose a different service. Maybe Wind for its unlimited data? Please advice.
- Where can I buy a Rogers Canada Prepaid Card? I'm located in the USA and, obviously, there are no Rogers Canadian stores. I need a prepaid card like $15 so that I can open a wireless Canadian account, unlock my iPhone, then closet the account. I checked eBay none. Unlock service on eBay is too expensive so this is the route I have to take? I need to either 1) find a prepaid card to order online or 2) an unlock service for no more than $40. If you any of either please comment below.
- Travelling to Canada, my AT&T iPhone now says Rogers? I drove from the US Over to Canada yesterday and the little AT&T icon on my iPhone suddenly changed into Rogers. Can I still make calls to the US/use data on the Rogers network or am I gonna be charged extra?
