How to unlock iphone 5 for free? - 2

Anyone know how or where i can unlock my iphone 5 for free without having to pay for the service? My cafrrier won't do it for free either

Their are two ways. Hardware unlock via your carrier (best way). Will cost you anywhere from $25-$50 and will stay unlocked no matter what. You can safely update your firmware in the future without any problems.

You can use UltraSn0w by the iPhoneDevTeam. But this will require a Jailbreak, and if I'm not mistaking, you will need to downgrade to iOS6 right now. I don't think it's available for iOS7 yet. Should be soon if it's not as you can Jailbreak iOS7 with 3Vasion right now.

For iPhone 5 is not working the software unlock, that is the unlock after jailbreaking, that works only for iPhones 2g, 3g and 3gs. The only methods available for iphone 5 are:
-imei factory unlock- that can be done either trough your carrier or by using an unlocks website like http://www.onlineunlocks.com. This is consider better as is permanent unlock and will not have any problem if you update the firmware
-using a gevey or turbo sim, which can be cheaper but have to verify will work for your phone and that solution might not work once you update. Here are some ebay results for iphone 5 turbo sims:
