How to unlock the megaladon on hungry shark evolution?

On my iPhone 4 the fossil showed up after the great white. When that phone broke and I got the app on my new iPhone 5s, I got back up to a level 10 great white and the megaladon doesn't show up. Did they change the requirements to unlock, and if they did, what are they? Everything I've looked up this far seems to suggest that it is unlocked once you level up the great white but IIm just not seeing it.
