How to update a jailbroken and unlocked iPhone 3G?

I have an unlocked and jailbroken iPhone 3G. And in was hoping to update it to IOS 4.3 or higher. Can I do this and re jailbreak it and not unlock it and still be able to use it on straight talk? Also what would be the best way to update it and re jailbreak it without messing anything up?

  • Iphone 4, unlocked and jailbroken, straight talk, says no service? Hi, I bought an already jailbroken and unlocked I phone. I oreder the sim card from straight talk, and put it in my phone as instructed. I accepted as the phone instructed me, dialed 122, hung up after 2 seconds, changed it to airplane mode, and then back again. It just says searching, then it says no service. I called straight talk and got no help. They seem to think the sim card and airtime minutes were already activated.
