How to update Apple iBook laptop?
I believe I have an Apple iBook. & I think it's a 2007? I'm not familiar with this laptop, it was bought used & as far as Apple, I've owned an iPhone & an iPod touch which I no longer have & I'm new to Mac. When I open the About This Mac window it reads:
Mac OS x
Version 10.4.11
Processor 900 MHz PowerPC G3
Memory 640 MB SDRAM
It also has a Startup Disk
I do not have internet where I'm, if it's needed, but I do have a Galaxy Exhibit phone with Metro pcs, i don't know if maybe a connection could be shared. If so, how would I go about that.
I wanted to know if this laptop is up-to-date, or if it needs to be updated. & How I can access Other Accounts: test, which is labeled Admin. I wasn't given the password. Thank you in advance. I hope I made sense of this or that someone understands what I'm explaining.
Well seems like you have a really old ibook from 2002 or 2003. 10.4.11 is the newest version you can update to since it has a G3 processor which is very old. Since you do not have internet you can plug in ethernet. If you don't have a Wi-Fi card in the laptop the computer can't connect to internet without a ethernet cable. If you don't have a password to a account then you can't access it. You can wipe the hard drive and reinstall the os and set up a new account. I would recommend getting a Macbook with intel processor since your Ibook is too old. You can get a White macbook for around $200 on ebay.

- Purchased book from iBook on iPhone not opening? I just purchased A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin from the iBook app on my iPhone, but it won't open. Whenever I tap on it to open it, this message appears: "Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing." I redownloaded the book, but the same message appears.
