How to upgrade Iphone 4s to IOS 6.1.2, without going to 6.1.3?
There's no jailbreak for 6.1.3 and i simply want to update my iphone 4s to 6.1.2.
I have a.ipsw file of 6.1.2 and i know you can shift click on update and select this file. Once i do that it extracts it and gives me an error code (error 3194- an unknown error) when it tries to verify the update with apple. Is there a way to skip the verify with apple step?
I know you could do this with red snow and tinny umbrella.
I'm currently on IOS 5.0.1 and have it jailbroken.
Unfortunately, for the iPhone 4S there's no way to do that.
Before, you could use tinyumbrella to fetch your SHSH blobs and then restore to an older version but its simply not possible.
I know its probably an answer you don't want to hear but I wouldn't lie… I really wish it was possible but as of now, there's now way. Make sure to save your 6.1.3 SHSH just in case a method is discovered in the future.

I jailbreaked my iphone 5 6.1.3 using iphonunlocker.com and worked fine. It cost me about $20, but didn't need to worry about downgrading and all that nonsense.
