How to use free Wi-Fi as carrier instead of sprint on an iPhone?
Going to Bahamas and sprint charges to make calls and text. However, if I turn off sprint services, I can use Wi-Fi for free.
Can someone help me to do this? On an iPhone…
Added (1). So if I get an app, it automatically changes my phone over from sprint services to the free Wi-Fi? I did get an app, and they also charge, a very small amount, but there's a charge.
You'll need an app that lets you make calls via Wi-Fi. Skype is one - but unless you are calling someone else who is also using Skype on their phone or computer, you will need to pay Skype for the minutes (instead of Sprint). But that will still be a lot cheaper than paying Sprint for International roaming.
- Will it be cheaper to pick up instead of having an upgrade shipped to you on Sprint? I'm eligable for an upgrade, I'm looking towards a new iPhone 4S on Sprint for $100 but when it comes to taxes it brings it up $55 more. And that goes by zip code. So is it cheaper if I can put an in store pick up? Will it be 100$ like it says if we picked it up at the store?
- What does it mean if you buy an iPhone unlocked instead of with a carrier? That gets me so freaking confused. Like you can buy it with Verizon, AT&T, sprint, or unlocked… What does that mean?

Obviously that phone is no longer in contract and its deactivated. Or how can i make it no longer a cdma and awitch it to gsm so i can use another carrier inside the us not for international purpuses
