How to use iPhone after being stolen?
My dad recently found an iPhone without a sim card laying in an alley. We found out it had been marked stolen. How can I activate it? Will I be able to activate it? What should I do? Please help!
The screen was also cracked so my dad fixed it.
Take it to a phone store. And don't use someone else's phone otherwise they'll think you were the thief!
You can't do anything with it. It's marked as stolen. That means you can't do anything with it.
The only way it's gonna work is if you send it to another country
Once a phone has been reported as stolen, its esn is put in to the "bad esn" database. All american mobile provides check the esn's before activation. You can't use it as a phone in the USA, if you know the phone has been stolen you have committed a crime.
