How to visit neighbors on the sims free play on iPhone?

I keep hearing about how you can visit your friends neighborhoods on the sims freeplay but I can't figure out how to do it?

Connect to facebook. At the bottom of your sims list… Where you locate your sims you should see a green button with 3 little dots. Click on it the click on the blue button that looks like a keyhole… Click login and use your facebook, the click play again. Find where the town button is another button with a world on it (circle) or go to town and click on the boat you will find in the river… There you will see if some of your facebook friends have the sims 3 freeplay and you will see the "visit" button aside the name of your neighbour (friend)
if need more friends add me. I play all the time Arady Diaz on facebook.

Basically I was on those advertisements to earn more points and when I went on one called via me, where you have to watch this video and then download an app, but when I did all of that and I went back to my sims app, it just stayed on the advertising page and I can't get back to playing the game.
