How to work Imessage for iPhone?

Hey so I got a new iphone its just the iPhone 4 but I'm not sure how to work I message? Any advice and tips would be helpful!

Just turn it on in the settings, thats all you have to do.

Well if I were you I would return the iPhone and wait for the Galaxy S4 because Apple is failing and their products are getting worse. But if you keep it you follow these instructions:

First you have to set up an iCloud account via your Apple ID. Once it's set up go to Settings on your iPhone

Then Messages from the Settings app. Turn on iMessage and make sure to see which account(s) and number(s) you will be able to send & receive the messages.

Also if you're new to the iPhone thing I would turn on "Find My iPhone" in case you lose it or it gets stolen. TRUST ME, it works. Go to Settings, iCloud and then turn on Find My iPhone. To see where your iPhone is go to www.icloud.com

  • Why won't my iMessage work on my iPhone? I was wondering why my iMessage service does not work on my 3GS phone. The iMessage tab is switched to on. The recipient and I are both within Wi-Fi connectivity. The send button even turns blue. When I try and send MSG it says not delivered. When I gO to settings and turn imsg tab off then bk on, it says waiting for activation… How do I activate for starters?! I have put my password and used ID in too but still to no avail! What do I do?
  • Why won't iMessage work on my jailbroken iPhone 4? I just got my stepmom's old iPhone 4. My dad had jailbroken it on iOS 5.1.1 using Redsn0w. Now whenever I try to activate/sign into iMessage or FaceTime, after about 15-20 seconds, and error pops up saying,"Activation Failed/Unsuccessful". My uncle has the same problem on his iPhone 4(jailbroken on iOS 5.0.1).Is there a way to fix this? I don't like always using my iPod Touch to iMessage.

At random times, whenever I try to iMessage my friend who has just a iPod Touch, where you type in the message will say "Text Message" instead of "iMessage." is there a way to fix this so it will always send as a iMessage instead of Text?
  • Imessage won't work on my iphone 3? I turned on imessage, and added an email, but it will always say waiting for activation or just deleting the email i added. Do i need to hook it up to the computer to add it?
