How tough is it to convert an old LP record to MP3?

I have an old LP album that I want to convert to MP3 for my iPhone. (It was never even released as a CD.) How tough is it? I don't even have a phonograph and was going to just have a service to do it.

I had a few lps converted into CDs and the company did an excellent job. Mailed them the LPs and got it all back.

Its not hard but you would have to buy a record player. The easiest record player to do it with is an Ion with a usb cable. The have some players that you don't even need a computer. It will burn it directly to cd. There are many options here http://www.ionaudio.com/products/turntables. You can find Ion record players everywhere… Bestbuy, bed, bath beyond, etc

If you will never do another album, then it might be cheaper to have that company do it for you.

The easiest is to get some recording app and hold it up to the speaker. This really isn't that great.

The next is if your record player has some line out, you could buy a cable and hook it up to your PC and record it there.

Last is either take it somewhere, or buy some equipment that can take records and convert them to mp3s.

  • What's a good, tough, cool looking iPhone 5 case under $50? I'm looking for a iPhone 5 case that's tough and hard, not a otter box or a silicone case. I want one that covers everything on the phone, it doesn't have to cover the front really just mainly the back. I'm a male so I want a man looking case. I have a black iPhone and I been looking at a lot of cases like TAKTIK but its not out yet. Please help me find a good, tough, cool looking iPhone case!

  • I would like to know how to convert Youtube files to MP3 on my Iphone 4? I have an iPhone 4 & would like to know the simplest way to conver youtube songs to MP3 on my device with out having to do any sort of "jail breaking" as I do NOT want to do that. It would be a big help if I can do it on my iPad as well as I have iCloud. If anybody can give specific instructions it would be very helpful. I'm relatively new to IOs.
