How would I recover deleted iMessages from my iPhone 5?

I accidentally deleted all my messages to a contact today on my iPhone. I tried restoring backup from my computer, but an error message popped up saying there was not enough room on my phone to restore anything. My computer then proceeded to backup my phone, so I guess that means trying to restore it from the last backup won't do anything. However, these messages do show up in spotlight on my iPhone, so I figure they must be in there somewhere. How could I get them back?

You can recover deleted iMessages without iPhone, if you have made a backup before.

Here is the way you can follow:
1. Connect the iPhone to the computer with a USB cable.
2. Open iTunes.
3. If you have a new or erased iPhone, iTunes will prompt you to restore from backup.
4. Otherwise, Control-click on your iPhone under DEVICES in the left menu.
5. Select Restore From Backup…
6. Choose the backup you wish to sync and click the Restore button.

  • Why is my Iphone not sending as Imessages and receiving iMessages from one person? I'm texting my wife and we both have iPhone's and she is getting the messages as an iMessage but the ones I'm sending her on my end show up at green. Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
  • Recover iMessages for iPhone? I deleted some VERY important messages by accident, and I really need them back! The last time I backed up my phone was a month ago and I didn't activate the iCloud… Is there any free way that I can recover these messages!
  • Is there a free way to recover iMessages and messages without using iTunes? I accidentally deleted all my chats and messages on my phone. I haven't backed up my phone in a while, like 50 days so I need a method to get them all back without using iTunes or iCloud. iPhone 4s, iOS 9.3.1
  • Is it possible to check what iMessages have been sent and received even after being deleted? I cleaned out all the iMessages in my iPhone and I don't back up my messages to anything (such as iCloud). I know it is possible to check text messages through your carrier's server. But is there a simpler way to check your deleted iMessages? I know this is was worded in a confusing way.
