I accidentally turned the light on on the back of iPhone 4- how do I shut it off?
That "light" is the flash for the camera that is built into the phone.
You must have downloaded a flashlight app that can turn the light on to use as a flashlight.
Find the app, open it, turn off the "flashlight"
