I'm getting an Iphone this week and was wondering if 500mb a month would be enough?

I only use internet for things like browsing twitter/fb, sometimes use snapchat however usually use this via my ipod on Wi-Fi and also only ever upload pictures of anything via Wi-Fi
I'll use it for emails probably and will use my ipod for my music still.
I used to have 500mb on my blackberry and never went over it so I assume it'd be the same for an iphone?

Iphones generally use more data to complete the same tasks, than blackberry. Android does this as well. But if your not watching youtube, or opening webpages all the time, you might be okay although 1gb is usually recommended.

I just got my first iPhone and the data goes fast. What I did was turn off Cellular Data under Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data. Only turn it on when you need it. Otherwise, use Wi-Fi all of the time. Most places have Wi-Fi anyway. Other then that, turn off Background App Refresh under Settings - General - Background App Refresh. This will not only save Data if you are using it, but it will save battery life.

  • Would 500mb data be enough for me? - 1 I just bought an iPhone 4 and I'm looking into getting Verizon. I'm not sure if 500 mb will be enough for me. I get on Facebook daily and I use twitter instagram ifunny and might even browse some web pages. I might use the iMessage and FaceTime features as well. I don't know how often I would use those. And I have Wi-Fi at home. But would this be enough based on your understanding? Please let me know.
