I bought an iphone 4, but which carrier is it?
A girl was selling an iphone 4 for $20 so i bought it, she said it can be connected with verizon or sprint, but i checked meid and its bad esn from verizon, but the iphone says its carrier sprint 16.0
It is likely you won't be able to activate that cell phone. Since it has a bad ESN number it means that cell phone was tied to account from the previous owner that they didn't pay the bill and so that cell phone is known as "BAD ESN". That means sprint or verizon won't ever activate that cell phone again.
- What are my options to carrier unlock an iPhone 4s I bought off of eBay? I recently purchased an iPhone 4s off of eBay and it's still carrier locked. Is there a cheap/free way to carrier unlock it? It's currently jailbroken and it used to be on AT&T. I plan on switching it to MetroPCS. I only have the MetroPCS SIM card and it says I have signal but I can't make calls, texts, use the web. I'm not a AT&T customer and have no way of becoming one. I really need help. Any suggestions?
- If I buy an iphone used from another carrier ad buy a sim card from my carrier will that work? I have an iphone 4s with virgin mobile and I want an iphone 5 but all virgin mobile phones are so expensive! I looked on ebay for virgin mobile nano sim cards and they are only around 2 dollars. If I bought one of these sim cards and a used iphone 5 from another carrier would it work with my carrier?
- I bought an iPhone 5 & it's locked by carrier? Alright so I go through the factory settings such as language & Wi-Fi then I come across this message that says that the phone is locked with the carrier. (ATT&T) Should I take it to the carrier? Or is there any other simpler options. Please explain, thank you.
- I bought a carrier locked ATT iPhone 5c but want to use it on T-Mobile I got a deal I couldn't pass up on an ATT iPhone 5c on Ebay, but I have T-Mobile service. Att will carrier unlock the phone if I was the original owner, but obviously I'm not. What are my options for getting it to work with T-Mobile? Is it possible to have a friend with current ATT service put their Sim in the phone and request an ATT carrier unlock acting as the phone owner? What other options do I have?
