I bought an iphone 4 on ebay and it is locked, how can I unlock it for free?

I bought the iphone 4 online and it is locked to att. I found a much cheaper service with another provider. How do I unlock the phone myself for free?

Some malls have kiosks that unlock phones. It usually the same Kiosk that sells phone cases. So find one of those & just ask them if they also unlock phones. I wouldn't recommend doing it online, too many scams out there & even legitimate websites that unlock phones don't always work well.
