I broke my Iphone. Not backed up at all. I had $500 in my apple pay wallet that I had yet to transfer to my bank. Did I lose them?

Or can I sign into my new phone when I get it and my apple pay money will be there? I still have the old phone and sim card still works. But verizon will send new phone and new sim card. Don't want to lose those $500 in there

Added (1). Edit: The phone was no Icloud backed up or anything.

With my wife's AT&T iPhone, when the new one was activated, all the stuff transferred from the cloud onto it, all the contacts, apps, pictures, everything. Probably Verizon is the same way.

Most likely the credentials are stored in the cloud. Storing them only on your phone would have to be something you'd select to be super secure. Apple wouldn't do this by default just because breaking phones isn't uncommon.

Should just be a matter of signing into the new phone.

Your account details are held on Apple servers not on your phone, so log onto your account from a computer or a new phone and you'll still have access to your cash!
