I can't download anything from the app store?
I have an iPhone 3GS and Everytime I try to download something it says something about "this app requires iOS 4.2" or whatever and it keeps on doing that all the time. Right now I have version 4.1 do I have to update and if I do, how do I do that.
You can just click connect to itunes and it will ask you if you want to update. You probably should anyways as it sounds like your version is so old you probably don't even have imessage on that version.
The most recent update for your phone is 4.2.1
Many Apps require 4.3 or higher.
Read the requirements before you try to download.
Update you iTunes on the computer and if you click on Settings, General, software update.
Then update all apps on the phone also.
If you have a iPhone 3GS you can update it the the latest greatest iOS using iTunes. If if have an iPhone 3G you will only be able to update up to iOS 4.2.1. If that is the case finding new apps may not be easy. Look at "VintApps" in the Apple App Store. I wrote this app finder to discover and install apps available for earlier devices.
- Why can't the Iphone download anything outside of the Apple Store? After having the Iphone 5 for nearly 2 years now, I don't understand why anyone would want to deal with iphone. You can't download anything, movies, music, or apps, outside of what's in the Apple store. I'm hoping the iphone 6 will be different, if not, I'm about to switch to Samsung soon.
- What is a good app from the App Store to download/get free music? I have an iPhone5, and I have tried some different apps and nothing is really cutting it for me. I refuse to pay for the songs on iTunes, because I just don't agree with the prices. If you have an app you use on your iPod/iPhone/iPad or anything from the app store please reply!
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- I can't purchase anything from ITunes or the App Store? Every time I try to purchase something from iTunes or the App Store, it asks me for my password. After I put my password in, it acts as if it were to download but then stops. My iPhone is a 3GS. I have the latest software installed (iOS 6.0.1).
