I can't get mail on my iphone 5 even though I have 3G?
I've had my iphone 5 for a while, and so far there has been no problems with the mail. But today I switched my phone on and off a few times because I didn't have much battery, now all of a sudden when I go to refresh my mail, it comes up with 'can't get mail. Connection to the server failed' even though I have 3G.
I have rebooted, reset all systems, and signed out and signed back in again. Nothing is working.
My email is a live account.

- Why does my iPhone die even though I have battery power left? I will get to around 30% then it will flash to 1% then turn off, is this common? What shall i do? Is there anyway i can fix it?

- Should I update my iTunes even though i still have iOS7? I have an iPhone 4 so I can't get iOS8. But lately iTunes has been sending me messages asking if I want to update, but they're all meant for iOS8. I don't want to download it and have it mess up my phone somehow. But at the same time there are security updates that are usually important. So what should I do?
- Should I buy a next-gen console even though I have a pc desktop? So I've bought a pc and I'm happy with it but I'm wondering if I should spend my extra money on a next gen console. I was thinking of saving it for an iPhone but the second thoughts are happening again.
