I can't send picture text messages from iPhone 4?
Please help I just got the phone and it sucks that I can't send pictures. Does anyone have any tips to fix this?
Do you have that service available from your wireless carrier?
If you do, I suggest that you pay them a visit. In the meantime, download an app that allow you to do so, like Textfree, Textplus, Heywire, WhatsApp.
Texts are sent as MMS not SMS, so you might want to check if your phone plan covers it, which it should since to use an iPhone you require a data plan nonetheless. So I would probably check to see if your phone is up to date with the most current software. Sometimes the phones apps updates, doesn't mean your phone does, and Apple doesn't like to reverse compatibility, so if you over update your apps, they won't work with older Firmwares.
2 things, its either you don't have it through your carrier, or else go into your settings messages and make sure MMS is turned on.
- Why can't I send picture messages with my iPhone to other phones? I can only send picture messages to other people with iPhones but not to anyone that has any other type of phone. I have the 4S and I have my MMS/SMS switch on. What's the problem?

- Why can't I send picture messages to people who don't have iphones? I have an iPhone 4 and whenever I try to send pics to ppl who don't have an iphone, it fails. I have data on, 3G on SMS on and MMS messaging on and they still don't send. The pictures are also not in HDR when I take them. Is it because some people who I'm sending them to don't have smartphones? I have everything on that's supposed to be on so I don't understand why they won't send.
