I cracked the back of my Iphone 4, help on what to do?

So I always have a case on my iphone 4. I got a phone case back in August, I put it on, and since then I had never taken it off. But today, I thought that I'd take off the case just to take it off because I was bored. So I took it off and realized the back of my Iphone 4 is cracked! I had no idea at all whatsoever it was cracked before today. I don't know when it happened, where it happened, or how it happened. For all I know it could've happened months ago. What I mainly mean to ask, is do you think that I can just keep the case on it and it will just work fine? I bought this phone with all my own money, and my parents would KILL me if they found out. My plan was to just leave it in the case, and if for some reason they'd ever look in the back I could just say I've never seen it. What do you guys suggest that I do?

Added (1). Also, if I put tape on it and my parents ever were to see it, they would know that I've seen it. So do you think my phone case would work the same way that tape does?

Added (2). They would mainly be mad because I spent all my birthday money and refunded gifts in order to but the phone, and they know I have it. I was just reading an article that says slide on iphone 4 cases crack the back of screens, and I have never dropped my iphone 4, so I think that's my problem.

Sorry i'm not going to be much help but it has lasted this long so i would leave the case on it cause if you Switch case's now or put tap on your phone and if they find out like you said your parents would kill you so having no evidence that you know would be great but just be careful for now on with your phone.

I'm not sure what is going on here. Do your parents know you have a phone?
I say run the phone until it tears up good. Do you have an insurance plan on it?
If it's urs, why are your parents a concern? I don't understand.
I've always been open with my family so I don't have any experience in this area.

  • What should I do? The back panel of my iPhone 4 cracked? Sadly, today I dropped my iPhone 4 (Which I've had for roughly 2 years) and the back cracked. When I got it I bought the Apple Care plan, but I'm pretty sure that's expired now. So, should I buy a repair kit online? It seems fairly simple. Or, should I go to Apple? If so, what should I do then? What do you think they can do for me?
  • My iPhone 4 back glass is cracked? The back glass on my white iPhone 4 with AT&T is cracked. I want to order a DIY replacement kit off amazon but I'm not sure what I should look for. I need a kit that will come with everything that I need. I see some kits that come with a camera ring or a flash diffuser? Do I need that if its just my glass that is cracked? My camera works fine.
  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
  • Is it worth replacing my cracked iphone back before i sell it? I have just got the iphone 5 and i want to sell my iphone 4 to mobile exchange they offered around £130 for it in working condition but when i emailed and said it has a small crack on the back they said the price could go down to £46 depending on how bad, but i need to send it off for them to asses. My question is, i can get the back repaired for £15 and then send it off, but will this be cheaper then sending it with the damage? Anyone had the same problem? Cheers!
