I did a factory reset on iphone without entering icloud password. Will there will be problem when the next person tries to activate it?

I factory reset my daughters iphone to send it back to Sprint. I do not remember entering an icloud password when I reset it. Are there going to be problems? The phone looks to be reset.

How exactly did you do the factory reset? IF it had an iCloud account on it, it should have asked you for the e-mail and password. If you did a restore with DFU mode, then the phone is still linked to that iCloud account.

However, what you can do is login to that iCloud account on your computer>Find iPhone>select the iPhone you're getting rid of> and remove it from the account.

Failure to remove your Apple ID (or iCloud account) from the iPhone BEFORE resetting the phone will result in the Activation Lock to be triggered upon the next user attempting to set up the phone since it has to contact Apple (usually via a Wi-Fi connection) for activation.

Returning a phone with the Activation Lock engaged WILL CAUSE ISSUES. Your carrier will either send back & request that you remove the Activation Lock prior redoing the return OR charge you the full replacement value of the phone (if on a device payment plan or an applicable ETF if it's on contract) as you failed to completely revert the phone to it's original factory state.
