I don't like my birthday gift

I know what you are thinking "what an ungrateful brat!" But please hear me out. Today was mine and my twin sister's 14th. My present was… A book. Yes, I love reading but let me tell a few reasons why I was upset.
1. They didn't actually buy a book they just saw one of my used old books in the attic and decided to give me that. They thought I wouldn't notice. But it has all the markings on it.
2. My twin sister got an iPhone X! I'm not saying I have to have an iPhone but why would they give me MY old book and give her a brand new iPhone?! I asked my mum quietly and she said "Oh my god Stella stop being such an ungrateful brat! You know we're having money problems!"
3. She says we have money problems but she bought my twin an iPhone X and my brother (it's not even his birthday) a smart tv for no damn reason.

I haven't yelled or anything. I know I'm probably being really ungrateful but what are your thoughts on this?

I don't blame you, i wouldnt like that either, but i would be nice to your sister and she might let you use her iphone x, i'm a twin myself

  • Would it be inappropriate to buy my grandma a cellphone for her birthday? My grandma is gonna turn 96 on April 6th and I was thinking about buying her an iPhone, possibly the newest one. She has never had a cellphone before but I told my sister about the idea and she thinks it's inappropriate and a waste of money for a 96 year old. What do you think?
  • What should I get for my birthday? My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and my parents are asking me what I want but I'm not really sure. I was maybe thinking either cash or the iPhone 7 since I've had the iPhone 6s for a couple years now. Note: I'm 19
  • Can i exchange an itunes gift card for a different gift card? Recently my grandmother gave me an itunes gift card as a reward for doing so well in school. But I don't have an iPhone or use iTunes. So is it possible to go to Walmart or Best buy and exchange for a Google play gift card?
