I dropped my iphone 4 in water and it still works?

Okay so I dropped my iPhone 4 in the toilet for about 2 seconds and I took it out (the water was clean) and then I put it in some rice. It was working fine when I put it in the rice like it still turned on and the screen did not have any water damage. It's been in the rice for about 7 hours and it has been vibrating because of texts and notifications through out the day. Do you think it is safe if I take it out of the rice now?

Eff me

No telling, but you should have turned it completely off as soon as possible - damage occurs when you continue to operate a wet electronic device.
A full rice drying treatment can take 2-3 days.

You're gonna want to leave your phone alone for 2 or days that way you know for sure everything internally is dry and it doesn't short circuit any buttons on the phone

You want to risk it? DO YOU Really WANT TO RISK IT? Are those messages so important that it's worth losing your phone? Then go for it.

I work at a cell phone store and have seen many of wet phones work again. What you need to do is take it into a cell phone repair store and have them do an acid wash on it to get rid of the corrosion that has started. If it is working now, great, you have time, but you need to stop the corrosion before it eats up the circuits. Costs about $20-$40.
