I dropped my Iphone 5 in water, should i be worried?
So i was washing my hands and my phone fell into the sink while the water was still running. The phone wasn't submerged but it got wet. I turned it off immediately and threw it in a bag of rice just for precaution. Should i be worried considering the phone was never submerged and leave it in the bag or am i freaking out over nothing and my phone is fine?
Leave it in the rice overnight. It may be excessive, but if the phone is fully functional in the morning you have saved a major repair bill. Any water could be disastrous. You are not that important that you need to have your cell with you when washing your hands. Put it in a pocket, purse or belt holder. If you were that important, you would have a dozen other phones fully configured on stand by and a flunky to hold your phone while you wash your hands.
Use a hair dryer to make the iPhone dry. Open the back and blow warm air from dryer to the inside component (don't get it too much heated but).
Or you can leave it under direct sunlight for at least one complete day.
Don't turn it on unless you're sure phone is completely dry.
Yes. Turn the phone off and leave it off for a couple days to let it evaporate. But that might be too hard for you now, wouldn't it?
- Should I be worried that my iPhone has been compromised? After browsing the web for about half an hour or so I get a pop up saying that someone is trying to access my iPhone and that I should get rid of all the viruses. It states the persons ip and the location which is the Ukraine. Is this some sort of scam because I've heard that iPhones can't get malware because you're not allowed to download anything from the web. So my question is should I be worried.
- Should i be worried about my iphone 5? I've had this iphone5 for a month now and i've only noticed now that there's a red glowing dot near the top speaker. It can only be seen in the dark. After doing some research i think its supposed to be the proximity sensor but some people say its abnormal to be seeing this? Is this a problem? Should i be worried? What's a proximity sensor anyways and how do i turn off the red dot if possible?
- Should I be worried about my iPhone 4S? It got wet in the rain and now the speaker is not working. Not sound is coming out of it in any way. It's all still functioning fine apart from that. I'm hoping it will dry out and start working again.
- IPhone 5 not turning on, should I be worried? (new charger)? The charger for my IPhone broke recently and I purchased a new one, which is a lightning braided one, after 3 days of not having any battery I've plugged in the new adapter and it's taking a while to turn on. Is this normal? I'm a new IPhone user and quite worried.
