I dropped my iphone 5s in the pool for 2 seconds at the most?
I tripped outside and my phone hit the concrete then bounced in the pool.it was still floating when I grabbed it out so it was barely in there. I looked at the screen and it was pink-ish (because I was listening to a song and the album cover is hot pink) and there were horizontal lines. I instantly panicked and ran inside and put it in the rice. About two minutes later I realized I had forgotten to take the case off and I took the case off, sucked water out of the holes, wiped the excess water, and put it back in the rice. I tapped the home button and so no activity so I stopped and put it back in the rice. I know I shouldn't have hit the home button but I couldn't stop myself-- I instantly regretted it. But I searched google and saw that that doesn't always fry the phone so I'm trying to stay positive. I plan on keeping the phone in the rice for 48hrs. What concerns me is that from what I searched on google, people were able to power the phone down and slide the red "power off" button to turn off the device. I wasn't able to do that due to the horizontal lines and colors… Is that bad? I very upset by this.
Hold the power button down for like a minute it will turn it off anyway.
Put the phone in rice then try it. Leave it in the rice for 10-15 min. Then try it. If it doesn't work then call apple tech support and they can help you

- I dropped my iPhone X in about two feet of water in a shallow part of a pool for about thirty seconds. Has it been damaged? Two hours later and the screen is working fine and the speaker was muffled slightly at first until I played a tone app to see if it would help and now it's no longer muffled when playing music. Since it's water resistant or can be submersed up to 3 ft maximum and I dropped it in 2 ft of water for 30 seconds, could it be fine? Or I let it continue to sit in rice? Should I use other desiccants?
- I dropped my iPhone six into water for a full three seconds! What do I do? It had an off brand otter box on it, and the audio is perfect from both ways per usual, but I'm afraid to plug it up to charge. What do I do? Please help! I can't afford to fix this or buy a new phone.
