I dropped my iPhone in a puddle
I dropped it while it was raining and now it is like its pushed the power button(on the top) and it keeps turning off and taking picture of thing in don't want to take pictures. My sound doesn't work either.
Bury it I'm a bowl of rice, and leave it there for a couple of days
Put it in a bag or rice overnight and then try using it again. That technique should work.
Well there isn't much you can do about water damage. You can open the back and try drying it out or putting it in rice but the logic board is all messed up now
Turn it off! Press and hold the power button until it turns completely off.
Dry it off as much as possible. If you're going to use a hair dryer, put it on low heat because heat and electronics don't mix well.
Put it in a bag of rice or a bag of silica packets (those packets that come in food and clothes and whatnot that say "Do Not Eat") if you could find them. Silica packets and rice absorb moisture and prevent mold from growing.
Try turning it on after 24 hours. If it still doesn't work, you're going to have to contact Apple.
- My iPhone fell in a puddle of water twice, will it ever be the same? There were two instances where my iPhone fell in water, once, in the toilet for a second and then it a puddle of water on a train platform. It has been working, however, I remember when I first purchase it (a few months ago, the speed was incredible.) Is it normal for the speed to alter over time? Will my iPhone ever be the same? Perform on the same standards as it's suppose to?
- Iphone Damage? I just dropped my iPhone? I just dropped my iPhone and I'm worried I damaged it. I have a casemate case on it and I just dropped it on the wood floor. I don't see any damage, there are no cracks or visible damage, and the screen still works fine. But I'm still worried. Is there anything I should check or any damage I might have? - IPhone 4s camera light stuck on after being dropped in a puddle? Ok so me and my friend were at the park and I accidentally droped my phone (iPhone 4s) in a muddy puddle. We took it to bits and completely dried it (not an easy task I might add!). The only problem now is my camera doesn't work and the light is stuck on. I'm going to try doing a hard reset via iTunes tomorrow but I've read that doesn't actually help. Any suggestions?
