I dropped my iphone in water and now it won't turn on?

I dropped my Iphone 4 In the water, I tried to turn it on by pressing both the home and the power button at the same time. The apple loggo started to glow but then it turned off and now I can't turn it on again. Is there any way I can make it work again or should I just buy a new one?

Well Apple could probably fix it but I don't know which would cost more.you're probably out of luck unfortunately. I don't have an iPhone, or any kind of phone besides a track phone though, so I don't know that much about it

You have to let it dry out, then it might work… If it doesn't then you will have to open the phone and clean the board and all connections with alcohol and a fine brush. After that, let it dry again and it will work… I have done this to a number of iphones with success every time… Good luck! You can find youtube vids that will show you how to do it.

  • I jailbroke my iphone now it won't turn on, so I reset it and it still won't turn on? I jailbroke my Iphone a few days ago, it's an Iphone 4. Everything was working fine until today when I installed a tweak. After the tweak installed I had to restart springboard, now it won't turn on. The apple logo pops up then goes away. I plugged it into my laptop and reset it but it's still doing the same thing.

It seems like the phone is still working because it still makes noise when I touch the buttons and my alarm still went off this morning but the screen is completely black. It is in rice now but is that still the best solution if everything is working except my screen? And I know I'm supposed to turn it off but I can't because the screen won't work.
