I dropped my iphone in water and the touch screen isn't working?
I accidentally dropped my iphone 5 into water but it was only there for a second- i grabbed it out right away. Now the screen will turn on but the touch screen isn't working. So i can't unlock it or power it off all the way. I know i should put it in a bag of rice but i'm in a hotel in a foreign country and i don't have any and there's no grocery stores nearby. What do i do?
Put it in a bowl of rice for 24 hours.
Try drying it with a blow dryer.
Take a cloth and dry it the best that you can.
Put it in dry rice for about an hour
Chances are mineral deposits are sticking to things causing little connections to be made that shouldn't be. The only thing that will fix this is taking it apart and cleaning it with pure alcohol.
Take it to the apple store. They will replace it if under its under warranty.
Everyone knows water can't move anywhere in a second.
- My Iphone touch screen isn't working? I dropped it while bending over, and now whenever I go to slide to unlock, it doesn't move. When I go to power it off, the cancel works fine, but again, the slide bar won't work. I restarted it, and when I do this, it automatically brings up the passlock, and when I go to type it in, only the 1 - 2 - 3 and 5 work… So I can't unlock my iphone at all. Does anyone know what I can do to get it working?
- My iPhone's touch screen isn't working. What can I do? The touch screen isn't responding to my swipe to even unlock, let alone do anything else. I thought I might be able to power it off but that involves the "slide to power off". The phone is an iPhone S and this has never happened before.
- My iPhone 5S touch screen isn't working. What should I do? I had my iPhone in the bathroom while I was taking a shower and had it covered up like always… Then I tried going outside to take a couple photos and after the 2nd time the touch screen wouldn't do anything even though the phone was working perfectly fine before the photos… My buttons work perfectly fine, just not the screen…
- My iPhone 4s Touch Screen sensor isn't working- can this be fixed? I dropped my iphone on the floor and the top half of the touch screen is not responsive and I can't use the keyboard either. Is it beyond repair or could this be fixed with a new screen?
