I dropped my iphone in water so i put it in rice overnight then it worked fine

But this morning i went to charge it, and there was rice in the charger hole. I got the rice out but now my phone won't charge.

Look for corrosion or other obstruction of the contacts on the charging terminal. If you see some, gently scrape it away. Leave the phone for a time in a dry place. Sitting on or near a radiator would be perfect. There may be bits of water in the enclosure slowly drying.

Let the phone dry completely then spray the charging port with air duster to remove the small particles the rice left behind.

If this is an iPhone 6 or newer you shouldn't really need to worry about getting the phone wet, they're water resistant. If it does get wet just dry it off, you shouldn't need rice.

I put my phone under the faucet just to prove to my friend it wouldn't damage the phone, just don't try to charge it if it's still wet.

My daughter dropped my iPhone in water, trying to dry it out in rice. But every once in awhile it makes a buzzing sound while in bag of rice. What does this mean?
