I found a iphone 5s at kholes and i didn't return it should i keep it?

This phone is pretty and I want to keep it I turned it of so the rightful; owner couldn't find it and I feel like finders keepers cause maybe the owner wasn't responsible enough and left it there so its mine so I think ill keep it but how do I make it so the owner won't find it when I turn it on?

What if you paid so much for an iPhone 5s & ended up getting it stolen! I'm sure you would feel terrible. Don't be a child about it, just return it, it was an accident.

You won't be able to use it, because as soon as you try it will ask for the account details of the owner, and will report it's location and any network it's connected to back to apple! If you are then found with it, you well end up with a criminal record! Is it really worth it?

We do not keep things that do not belong to us.

Activation Lock would prevent you from doing anything anyway so you might as well try to return it. Plus it can be tracked through Find My iPhone & remotely locked by the owner.

I feel like the person who took it wasn't responsible enough to take care of it or didn't want it because I stood at the same spot waiting for them to come get it but they never showed up. I also turned on the phone and called all the numbers in it but the people either wouldn't answer or would say that they didn't want to be bothered with the owner of the phone. I've also always wanted an iphone 5s but iv'e never had enough to buy it so I just considered keeping it. If your gonna tell me anything on otherwise how to delete all the info in the phone and not get caught with it then don't leave an answer!
