I found an iPhone 6 and need

I recently found an iphone 6 in the garbage, (don't ask why) and it takes a password to unlock it, i don't know the password. It was dead when i found it so i charged it up and everything requires the password before i open the phone, siri takes a password, touch id takes a password, everything. Help me i don't know how to unlock it, this phone is in really good condition, no breaks or anything. I don't know the owner but i would like to find them and return it to them. I have a computer and another 2 phones, so if it takes a phone or a computer to unlock it, i can do it.

You know how to unlock it. You need the password. The phone is not yours to use, thank you for trying to find the rightful owner. You can't unlock it with a computer or other phones. You need the password. That which you found in the garbage is an electronic brick.

If the security was that easy to break, it would not be very good security.

Your options:

1) Turn it in to law enforcement or the nearest cell phone store. They can contact cell phone providers to see if it has been reported stolen or lost.

2) Get it into electronics recycle so the components can be harvested and recycled. These types of electronics should not be discarded in regular trash.

Turn It In At A Police Station Or A Phone Store.
Period.

Call Apple and tell them the situation. I think they should mail you a box so you can return it

You could ask Siri 'whose iPhone is this'

Otherwise you aren't getting into the phone. Resetting the phone wouldn't help either.

Just send it in for repairs

If it was reported lost or stolen in a crime where a person was killed then you could be in big trouble. Hand it in to police lost & found.

Check with the local Police to see if it's been reported stolen or lost. If not you may be able to contact the cell provider or manufacturer and get them to do a factory reset. I Recently had one done this way.

Did you touch it? If yes, then it is now WAY too late to turn it in to the police. Bring it into your local Apple store to reset the password. Then you can see what hides in the depths of that suspicious phone
