I found an iPhone 6s but it has a network lock so i can't activate it. How do i find out its carrier to request an unlock?
I'm unable to find out its number
when i try to activate it it says sim not supported and if i take the sim out it said i need a sim
if i connect it to my laptop it tells me the same thing

"Network lock"… Is a security feature. Since you found the iPhone S, it is not yours to use. Getting past the "network lock" means having the password that the owner will have.
Or… The owner reported the phone lost/stolen to the service provider, so the service provider blacklisted the device.
I hope you don't walk down the street, pick a random car parked and get in wondering if the car manufacturer will give you the key so you can use it - because you "found the car"…

Long story short, don't bother trying to make it your own.
iCloud Activation Lock will be a factor & there's no way around that.
- I have lost my iPod, but its connected to 'find my iPhone' but offline I've lost my Ipod, even though its connected to 'find my iphone' its offline, i'm pretty sure its still on with battery power but its not connected to any internet, so thats why its offline! Is there anyway of still finding it or finding out where it was when it was last online?
- I found in Iphone 5 on the bus and it has a passcode lock on it. How do it unlock it? I've tried plugging it into my computer and restoring it using itunes but the passcode lock doesn't allow me to do so. Any tips?

A message from the owner showed up after reseting it and I called that number and texted it repeatedly but no answer. So i'm thinking of giving it to my sister since her phone broke but its locked from icloud. What can i do? I have the phones MEID & IMEI number. - What are my options? Its a waste to just throw it away.
