I found an iphone but it is asking me to put the persons old apple id?

Well i found this iphone and i wanted to use it for myself but it is asking me for the persons apple id password.obviously i dnt know the person nor the password of her apple id. Is there anything i can do so that i can use the phone for my self?

Restore the iphone. However the Serial number and ESN can't be changed, and if the person reports it as lost/stollen it will become a "Bad ESN" which means a stollen iphone. If you bring it to apple or a wireless store they can seize it.

**Also why "Bad ESN" iphones sell for less then clean ESN phones on ebay, craigslist and other online resale places.

You found an Iphone? You mean someone lost their Iphone and now you are keeping it? If that is the case you should return it as that is stealing. I had my iphone stolen and I lost everything, please return their phone.

Did you find it or did you steal it? My bet is you stole it.
If someone found your phone would you want someone to use it for themselves or try to return it to you?

Why don't you turn it over to the authorities or take it to the service provider?

Have some respect and decency for other people. Buy your own phone.

Omg people there asking a way to not put the passcode in not if he should keep it thats there prob but you can restore it and set up as new iphpone and itll be brand new and you can make your own apple id pretty simple

No. It's a feature of IOS 7. If the phone is put in lost mode or recovery mode it demands the password to the Apple ID to sign in and do anything with the phone. Apple can't get around it themselves either. So you have a useless brick now.
