I found an iPhone, how do i reset it completely?

So I was on the bus, & I seen a white long thing under a seat, I waited till the bus got to the stations, then went to see what it was. IT WAS AN iPhone 5. I took it home & reset it, but when I put a sim card in, it goes to a page where it says "This iPhone is already linked to an apple I. D." Then it gave an example like "I***@***.com" How do I reset it? Like I'm mean completely reset it. Get the apple I. D off.

Call apple and return it. It's stealing

You can't.iOS 7 has high security so nobody but the user can reset it. (They have to log in to their Apple account) Plus, all iPhones have a tracking device, so anyone can locate it. If I were you, I would turn it in before you got in some serious trouble.

YOU can't. The original user has to sign the phone out of find my iphone on icloud.com. It is impossible.

You can't. What you need to do is contact the Bus Station and let them know you have it, someone is probably looking for it. Or, yes, take it to your local Apple store and return it so it can be returned to its rightful owner.

"Finders Keepers" is not honest. If you find something and make reasonable attempts to identify the owner and return the property but are unable to, you can generally keep an item. With something like this it is easy to identify the owner or get it to someone who can, and not doing so is legally stealing.

Um, I hate to tell you, but the is 2013 and Apple has fixed up their protection policies.

2 Questions.

1.Is it iOS7? If it is, your dead. Give it back now to the train station-- cause the phone is being tracked until the owner puts his/her password to "unlock it"

2. Well this isn't a question, but the phone probably isn't unlocked so there could be the issue of it not working with your sim even if the password put in.

In NYC, the police actually help find the iphones. Yes, they track them using Apples software…
