I found an iphone (says 3g) radioshack said it is a 5g. Can I get this activated?
On Friday my Husband and I were out. A man approached (hard on his luck) sold me his phone for $25.00 and explained he would keep it on for 30 days. Well I knew the phone was not stolen because he "actually showed his ID and some piddly paperwork on the phone and everything matched up. He was asking $75.00, but that was NOT going to happen.
The next day (as I suspected) the phone was turned off.
My question is: Can I get this iphone re-connected although it has a Verizon carrier? The phone is in tip top condition and came only with a car and pc charging adapter. It has a nice case worth ($30+) more than what I paid for the phone. I was told I could sell it for parts. When I looked up the value it's worth is in the upper $400.00's… Can I get it re-connected?
No, it most likely has a bad esn now making it useless as a phone.

- What is the tax on the Iphone 5C at Target and Radioshack? With Target mobile online and Radioshack.com, it shows that there are $0 in taxes for my zip code, with any android phone. Is that only for online purchases? Target has the Iphone 5C for $49.99 w/ a $30 gift card and at Radioshack it is $50. I'm not sure what either of those prices would be with tax. When I bought a cell phone with Cricket wireless, from Radioshack.com in Dec 2012, I payed $5.25 in taxes.
- My Iphone isn't working to an extent, says not activated? My Iphone works like normal you know, making phone calls, texts, and surfs the web and all. What isn't working is the Facetime, Imessaging, and installing profiles under the Settings. When ever i try using facetime or installing a profile it says waiting for activation and then says Iphone isn't activated? I have verizon and I went to them and they said I probably have to go to apple, any suggestions or ideas.
