I Got Caught Stealing At Wal-Mart?

Ok, this is my first time stealing from Wal-Mart or any other place, an I know it's bad stealing is stealing but what happened was I have very bad impulse control and I wasn't on the medicine I was supposed to be on (I have an appointment coming up for the med change) and this made me not think…
I'm 17 years old and I live in Ohio and I went to Wal-Mart with the intent to get a phone card an then an interview afterwards and then I seen something that cleans my iPhone and I was just going to take one of the wipes out of the pack and it lead to taking the whole pack… Then I go down the clearance isle and I have a mini Ihome iPod dock and I stick it in my book bag with like AC cables or something… I was hesitant and I was goof to put it back but I was scared and wanted to leave. I bought a pop at the register and walked out. Then two of these people stop me from the camera room and take me back and I give him the bag with the stuff in it and they take down my information and they call my aunt. An she comes and picks me up. But I'm afraid to tell my mom(legal guardian) and I don't know what to say to her and how to explain it to her…
I just want to know what can happen to me because of the theft at Wal-Mart and how I should tell my mom without her exploding on me…
I'm really scared. I just don't know what to do.

All what you've written tells me you do wrong and just expect to get away with it. The world doesn't work that way. Your mama taught you better than that.

Odds are that if it is your first offense, they won't come after you. Wal-Mart has no soul, though, so they might. If I were you, I would just tell your mom about it in a straightforward and apologetic way. Better she hears it from you than from the police or Wal-Mart people.

Shoplifting is a illegal, and there are no excuses for it. In Ohio you can be tried as an adult if you are at least 14 years of age. That is usually only done if the crime is a very serious felony.

I think you need your aunt with you when you explain to your mother.

Admit it, say your sorry, AND FREAKING STOP STEALING, your raising the cost for the rest of us
