Added (1). I have a smart phone through att. But its a go phone. So can i just put my sim card in the iphone and itll be a go phone iphone?
You will need a data plan, att will add one to your bill as soon as they detect a smartphone.
Yes, you can do that. But, data on an AT&T prepaid plan is very expensive.
First of all a jailbroken iphone won't do anything, you need an unlocked one! Secondly, yes you will have to put a data plan (internet) on it, and depending on where you go, some AT&T reps won't let you even activate the iphone on a prepaid. The thing is, the prepaid sim that comes with the go phones do not work in a iphone, they are locked to those specific go phone devices, you will need a new sim card which some places might charge $25
- Worth it to buy jailbroken iphone 3gs or a new Iphone 4 from att? I would like a jailbroken/unlocked iphone for free apps and not having to pay for internet, but is it better to get a new iphone 4 from att?
- What's a prepaid phone? Can IPhones be prepaid? I'm going to buy an IPhone 4 from my friend and i'm wondering if it can be prepaid? If so do I need anything like a sim chip? & It's not on contract… Or could I just go on a plan without being on a contract?
- I want to get the iPhone 5c but I want to stay with my prepaid plan? Can I just go to the apple store and purchase an iPhone 5c and go on Verizon's website and activate it? I pay 50 dollars a month for unlimited text/call/internet can I still keep paying 50 a month or will Verizon make me change my plan?
- I want to buy an iPhone 5S from Att but I'm not 18? I walked in and they said that I have to be at least 18 years old to buy a phone on my own. I'm actually 17 and my birthday is a month away. However, I'd like to purchase the phone now. What should I do?
