I have a verizon iPhone 5 & I cut down a straight talk sim to nano sim?

I want to know that when you insert the SIM card in the iPhone, is it suppose to show the signal & say HOME, or just say no service, & also I have not put any minutes or active it yet because I called straight talk & told them & they said verizon iPhone five will not work, & how come some people say it does work?

The Verizon iPhone 5 is only a CDMA phone in the US. Since Straight Talk is a US GSM carrier, it won't work.

  • Will my CUT nano sim get stuck inside iPhone 5? My carrier refuses to sell me a nano sim without a contract. I have to cut my normal sim down to nano sim size. I've heard it'll still fit despite being thicker. Once inside, will my cut nano sim get stuck?
  • Will a Verizon iPhone 5 have LTE service if used on Straight Talk? Just a quick question for iPhone experts. I recently decided I want an iPhone 5 and have a friend who raves about his s3 on Straight Talk. I have the opportunity to buy a Verizon iPhone 5 from a friend for cheap, but i'd like to know if I will receive LTE service when using it on Straight Talk. If not, I will just go with a Straight Talk iPhone from their website.
  • WHERE DO I GO TO GET MY SIM CUT DOWN? Just bought a new phone (iPhone) and the standard sim has become smaller and the Phone needs a micro sim. I'm on Tmobile and was wondering if I can just walk into the shop and ask to get my sim cut down. If so - how much is it going to cost or is it a free service?
  • Where can i get a straight talk at&t compatible nano sim for iphone 5? Been looking for hours and i'm getting fed up with this. I have an Iphone 5 from At&t that i just had the plan canceled on a few days ago and want to activate it with straight talk. But for the life of me, i can't find the nano sim card for the iphone 5 anywhere. Does anyone know where i can order one from? I already have the phone i just need the sim.
