I have an IPhone 4s & can't seem to use Bluetooth?

I have the IPhone 4s & have tried to use the Bluetooth but it doesn't seem to work. My friend has the same problem with his on his iPhone 4.It just searches & keeps doing it with nothing happening. Such an expensive phone, latest model but yet you can't use Bluetooth on it so why do they have that function on the handset?

You can't transfer any files to / from an iPhone if one of the devices is NOT an iPhone / Apple product
This function has been removed by Apple.
Music / picture files can't be transferred by bluetooth.

As I understand it bluetooth / Ibluenova after that from an IP4 is to Apple devices only,

***There has been a disabling of these profiles on Apple devices
File Transfer Profile (FTP)
& Generic Object Exchange Profile (GOEP)

The "generally" accepted theory is down to iTunes
so iPhones will NOT have bluetooth ( more blue-toothless) NOR will they have expansions slots
IMAMO [in my and many opinion ] to restrict movement of these files

Now with that "restriction" in order to increase the capacity it costs another $100 US £100 UK to buy the next model up.
