Wow that's weird
Delete the contact number, shut down the phone, call the number and try to save as contact again.
I have removed the landline number from the contact and popped it in the notes, so the only option is to now send a text to the mobile and it still does it! Maybe i will try deleting all the previous messages and send another?
I don't see how the phone could insist on anything. You are the one that has it do anything, including of course putting a phone number to text someone with.
- When I text other iPhones why is it sending as a text message? I have an iPhone 4 I was on AT&T and I just switched to straight talk. In my setting I have all the iMessage and everything turned on. Sometimes it will work whenever I text another iPhone but most of the time it won't. I have tried turning the phone off and back on. It's really irritating. If someone could help me that would be great.
- Is there a device so that when my iphone rings, I can make it ring the old landline phone in my house? The landline is disconnected btw? I have an old fashioned/antique 2 piece wall phone that works, but I'm disconnecting land line service. So is there a device I can plug my iPhone into when at HOME, that will allow this old phone to also ring when I get a call on my iphone? I don't need the old phone to ring unless I'm at home with iphone plugged into this device, if any such device exists?

- I sent a text message to someone who has their phone off right now. Will they see it when they turn their phone on? We both have iPhones so I sent it on iMessage but sent it as a text message after since the message didn't say delivered. Will they still see it when their phone is on?
