I have an iPhone with US Cellular and I want to switch to Verizon, can I still use my iPhone?
Will I have to get a new phone? I really don't want to.
Yes, you will have to get the phone Unlocked though. That will cost you anywhere from $20(sketchy) to $100. It's a weird process and can mess up your phone when someone does it that doesn't know what they are doing.
If you sign up a contract with Verizon, you'll have to get a phone from them even if it's free. You can sell that phone and flash your iPhone to the Verizon network and you're good. If you need help with getting the phone flashed to Verizon, mail me for references.
- When you have Wi-Fi and cellular data on at the same time, does it use cellular data? If I keep my cellular data on and also have my iPhone connected to Wi-Fi, will it use any of my cellular data?
- If I turn off cellular data on my iPhone, can I still use apps like SnapChat and Instagram? I have to share a 2GB plan with two other people, and I think that if I just blocked off cellular data it would prevent me from going over (obviously). But just personally, can I still use social applications and whatnot since the Wi-Fi will still work?
- I want to switch my old Verizon phone to a Verizon iPhone. How would I do that? My old phone is one if the small slide phones that red and black and the screen broke. I want to switch it to an iPhone I got from a friend. How do I do this?
- Can I use Verizon iPhone 4 on US Cellular? My sister-in-law gave my kids her two old iPhone 4's. They were Verizon phones and we use US Cellular. I was optimistic to use them in this new age of phone sharing. The phone tech told me that they are both CDMA, both 1800MHz, but the Verizon is 2-band and US Cellular uses 4 bands so it is not compatible. Am I being given correct information? It smells like a weak story to coerce me into buying their product.
