I have an unlocked AT&T iPhone 5, can I use it on the verizon network?
Verizon iPhone 5's do have SIM cards, but I saw where the networks are different something about a gsm and a CDMA network. I want to be able to use it on verizon
Verizon only uses SIM cards for 4G LTE service. Their network is still CDMA and you can't bring a non-Verizon phone onto their network, plus the CDMA side of the iPhone 5 is non-functioning on AT&T phones.
NO, AT&T phones are GSM, and not compatible with Verizon, which is CDMA.
AT&T iPhone 5 won't work on Verizon for incompatibility. Period.
No they are not on compatible networks
- Is there any way I can use an AT&T iPhone 4 on the Verizon network? My friend just got the new iPhone 5 and my old phone broke so he gave me his old iPhone 4. The problem is he has the iPhone 4 from AT&T and my plan is with Verizon. I've heard its possible to unlock the phone free by calling AT&T since his 2 year contract is up with that phone, so that it can be used by any carrier. However I know AT&T uses sim cards and Verizon doesn't. Is there ANY way I can use this phone with Verizon? I have no other options for a new phone.
