I have my iPhone 3gs (NO TEXT ALERT TONE)

Just like some users of iphone I have a problem with the text alert tone of my iphone 3gs., I really don't know what to do., how to ON the text alert.

I just did it on the general settings and in sounds. And I already checked one of the alert tones there., how to fix it? I read some forums how to fixe it but I can't understand.

Select your notification (text) ringtone in Settings - Sounds. Turn up your ringer volume. Make sure your iPhone is NOT in silent mode (the switch above the volume keys). Set the ringer volume to "Change with Buttons"

  • Why won't my Iphone alert me when i get a text? My phone, iphone 4s, always used to show me a banner whenever i get a text. It just randomly stopped. I checked in notifications about a million times and its set to show me a banner. I haven't dropped it or done anything that would have broken my phone. I would just really like to know how to fix this without taking it to an apple store.

These text messages come from a different number each and every time. (ie. 777203777562, 777… ). All text messages start with "alert@erie.gov".Is there any program or any way where I can create a ring tone for all these numbers without typing them all in?
  • My text tone does not work (iPhone)? I have the iPhone 4S & the "Alert" text tone set. When I'm on my phone & I receive a text, it rings. But when my phone is locked & I receive a text, it doesn't ring or vibrate or do anything. What do I do to fix this?
