I have taken out two mobile contracts i can't afford on sheer impulse?
I'm on benefits and have no savings and can't find work as i'm 61years old and employers don't seem to want oldies.
I took out a sony experia z this april just gone and an iphone 5 just over a week ago. Its going to cost me £115 a month for the two contracts which I can't afford. I have insurance included in my contract price which i'm going to ask Vodafone to remove.
Vodafone won't let me cancel the iphone contract because I've binned the box it came in so i'm stuck with two phones that I can't afford on benefits for two long long long years. It means me and my son will have to starve as my household bills in my council flat take up a lot of my benefits each two weeks so we can only eat one snack type junk food meal every other day and No meat, fish, fruit or veg either as I can't afford it.
I don't have a husband to help out as i'm divorced so is there any way I can force Vodafone to let me out of at least the one iphone contract that I've only just took out a week ago as i'm not going to be able to afford to eat.
Find somebody who can continue the other phone
You are what is wrong with this country. You and your son are both on unemployment benefit and have a council flat with the rent and council tax paid for by your local council. You both get free prescriptions, eye tests, dental treatment and reduced cost or free education.practically everything is subsidised or has a concessionary rate because you're on benefits.
you took out 2 expensive 2 year contracts on 2 top of the range mobile phones that you can't afford.grow up and accept responsibility. You are not mentally incapable, you made the decision to take out those contracts so enjoy your phones.
there are many people with jobs who can't afford top of the range iphones and don't have them. They are too busy paying the rent or mortgage, council tax, income tax, optician, dentist, college fees and everything else you get thrown at you for free.
i do have a solution though - you both get off your behinds and go out to work. It may be a culture shock the idea of earning your keep but you're both grown ups and that is how the grown up world works.
you are greedy and i would love to see you try and force Vodafone to cancel the contracts you have. You simply don't have the intelligence for a start or the law behind you.sadly i know the real reason you want to cancel the contracts is because a newer iphone has already been released or is about to be.
the contracts you have taken out are £100 a month without insurance. That is £23.01 per week between you or £11.50 each per week. You are not going to starve to death.stop trying to emotionally blackmail people.
if you won't get a job you should be made to do unpaid voluntary work.
EDIT: 5 days ago you had an "other half". Benefit fraud me thinks. The link to that question is
Try to find someone to take over your contracts on your phones.
You will probably have difficulty getting out of the contracts without paying the full amount upfront.
- Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
- Is a two year contract actually two years? I just recently got a new job that will allow me to splurge a little bit and finally upgrade my phone. I hope to switch from Straight talk over to AT&T so i don't have to continue paying $300+ when I need a new phone. The iphone 6 is about $100 with AT&T s two year contract, and then I'm eligible for an upgrade. Will I be held in that two year contract or would I be able to upgrade earlier to a more recent version? How much does it generally cost to upgrade early?
- How to play two different accounts of clash of clans, on two separate iOS devices? I have been playing Clash on my iPhone 5S for awhile and decided to pair the same account/base to my iPod 5th gen. Although, now I would like to play two different "bases". I tried creating a whole different Game Center/apple account, and deleting/redownloading the game, but no matter what, the game on my iPod, keeps loading up the base from my iPhone. I would like to make a new one on my iPod and keep my iPhone base, is there a way I can do that?
- How come people who can hardly afford their basic needs go out and buy iPhone 5s? I see this too frequently for my taste. There would be this lady pushing a $3 stroller wearing patched clothing, and texting on their iPhone5… What the he//? And then they wonder where they went wrong. What is up with this, seriously? @Samantha is CLOSER TO THE EDGE: I didn't write "iPhone 5S." I meant the plural of iPhone 5 (by adding an "s"), rather than the singular form.
