I have the iphone 5 Unlocked and want to activated for at&t?

Ok so i bought my iphone 5 like a week ago and wanted to ask if anyone knows how much would they charge me for the activation because i have no credit i heard people saying that by you owning the phone will save u from paying $500 for people that have no credit history. I just want to know i own the phone but will they charge me to sign the contract if so how much if not then please tell me thank you

  • Why factory unlocked iphone 4s is showing that the iphone is not activated? I bought factory unlocked iphone 4s on ebay for my sister-in-law who is in europe. And the seller assured that it is factory unlocked and will work perfectly. I have non activated sprint sim card and when i inserted it in to the iphone it showed that "the iphone is not activated.contact the carrier". What does it mean? Does it mean that the phone is not factory unlocked?

Could I just purchase a SIM Card off of Amazon and use it with that? Also I really just want to use it like an iPod Touch.
